Games of the Week-Week 7

#1 Ohio State v. #18 Wisconsin

This will be the most intensifying game of the week. The Ohio State Buckeyes re-established themselves as a national title contender. Ohio State's quarterback, Terelle Pryor, passed for a career high 334 yards in their 38-10 win against Indiana. Wisconsin was defeated by the Michigan State Spartans 34-24. Wisconsin, however forced three turnovers in the first half of the game although they trailed 20-10 at the half. Wisconsin's John Clay is going to have to step up his game this week after snapping his streak of ten straight games rushing for at least 100 yards. In Order for Wisconsin to defeat the Buckeyes they will have to play good defense and have Clay rush for over 100 yards. I expect Ohio State to win 32-25.

Ohio State topped the AP poll Sunday and received 34 first-place votes after beating Indiana on Saturday.

Texas vs. #5 Nebraska

Nebraska's freshman quarterback Taylor Martinez has become a Heisman candidate. Martinez completed 5 of 7 passes for 128 yards and a touchdown while running for a career high 241 yards and 4 touchdowns and fifteen carries against Kansas State. When Nebraska's defense play as well as it did against Kansas State, Nebraska looks very intimidating and unbeatable. The Texas Longhorns lost 28-20 against #8 ranked Oklahoma, losing consecutive games for the first time since 2007. Garrett Gilbert completed 27 of 41 passes for 265 yards with no touchdowns. The only opportunity Texas has to beating Nebraska is by finding a way to stop the exceptional quarterback Nebraska has. I predict Nebraska to win 35-20.

#12 Arkansas v. #7 Auburn

This will be a great game. Arkansas' quarterback Ryan Mallett threw for three touchdown passes against Texas A & M, winning 24-17. Although they were victorious, they did not play a good game. Arkansas had several chances to put the game away early, but they just couldn't do it. They got only one field goal out of the turnovers, missing another and failed with a fake. Mallett A&M sacked Mallett three times; he'd gone down only six all season. Auburn didn't play to their potential either although they won 35-32 over Kentucky. Auburn's quarterback Cam Newton ran for a career-high 198 yards and four touchdowns and passed for another 210 more. Darvin Adams caught five passes for 101 yards for Auburn. Whoever makes stops, does not turn the ball over, and does not commit costly penalties will win this game. I predict the Arkansas Razorbacks to win 32-28.
