Games of the Week–Week 11

#19 Mississippi State vs. #12 Alabama

This is definitely going to be the game of the week. Alabama lost to LSU 24-21, which would likely knock them out of contention for a second straight national championship. McElroy completed 21 of 34 passes for 223 yards and two touchdowns. However, he was intercepted in the first half and fumbled on a sack by Drake Nevis in his territory in the fourth quarter. Mississippi State defeated Kentucky 24-17 to win its sixth straight game. Mississippi State QB Chris Relf had 190 yards of total offense and two TDs. I predict Alabama to come out strong next week and defeat Mississippi State 28-17.

#24 Kansas State vs. #17 Missouri

Missouri lost to Texas Tech 24-17. Missouri's quarterback Blaine Gabbert completed 12 of 30 passes for 95 yards for the Tigers. Kansas State defeated the struggling Texas Longhorns 39-14 with the help of Collin Klein and Daniel Thomas, whom ran for two touchdowns apiece. Kansas State defenders also intercepted Garrett Gilbert five times. If Kansas State plays with the same mentality as they did against the Longhorns, I predict them to defeat Missouri 24-20.
